Before we work together
If you're reading this, you're probably trying to figure out if we're the right fit. So let me tell you a bit about who I am and how I work.
I started this company in 2019, during my last year of school. I'd worked at a few places before that, sat in offices, did the work, watched the clock. None of it felt like mine. So I built something that did.
For a while, that meant delivering packages during the day and working on the business at night. When my girlfriend got a job in another city, we had to move, and I decided to take the leap to go full-time.
I'm from CuraƧao, now based in the Netherlands. I travel home once a year to see family, and every time I'm reminded that there's real talent on the island, but not enough work to keep people there. Part of why I'm building this company is to change that.
How I think about this work
I'm not interested in building software just because someone asked for it. The first questions are always: should this exist? What problem are we actually solving? Is software even the right answer?
Too often, people skip that part. They take the brief, build the thing, and move on. That's not how I work.
I want to understand your business well enough to push back when something doesn't make sense and to propose things you hadn't considered. That only happens when we're genuinely working together, not just exchanging deliverables.
What partnership looks like
To me, partnership means I'm part of your team and not an outside vendor you check in with once a month. You know my name, I know yours. When things get hard, we figure it out together.
Three of my clients have been with me for five or six years. That doesn't happen by accident.
A lean team, deliberately
There are five of us, one of them my older brother. When I was a kid, I used to joke that one day he'd work for me. Took about twenty years, but here we are.
I'd rather have A-list players than scale up and create complexity. No hand-offs, no layers. When you work with us, you're working with me.
I'm selective about who we take on. If we're a good fit, you'll get my full attention. If we're not, I'll tell you.
When I'm not working, I'm usually playing sports. I played baseball for most of my life, judo for twelve years and lately padel. I like visiting clients in person when I can, especially if it's somewhere I haven't been.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
